Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hi team,
We recently jumped from WooCommerce to Shopify and notice all our exports of Payments by PayPal are showing as PAID leaving the PayPal feed in Xero unreconciled. To reconcile we have to go into each INV paid by PayPal and click on the payment and unreconcile or redo it then go back and match again to avoid double counting.
Does anyone know the quick fix to prevent all this painful rework?
cheers,
Dermott
Hi Dermott,
Nick here from Shopify.
Great question. I did some investigation on this for you. It seems like it might be something to reach out to Xero about directly as it could be on their end. While looking into this I found someone asking pretty much the same thing you have and Xero support seems to be pretty on top of explaining and helping people. You can see the link to the Xero community where this was asked and answered by someone from their team here.
Hope this helps!
Nick

Hi @Dermott_Dowling ,
PayPal can be tricky to reconcile and some rules for setting up needs to be established. I wrote this article focusing on accounting implications and reconciliations : Xero Integration for Shopify Accounting Setup and Reconciliation
