I enabled Shopify POS today but I am unable to charge my customers by manually entering card details. How can I do so?
Our shop address is
I was following these instructions
I got an email from support finally. I opened this thread few days after I sent support ticket but I didn't got any response here on forum... I asked regarding Shopify POS app for accepting payments over POS inside Shopify app as well as accepting payment using their integrated Shopify payment solution directly on our webshop.
I'm Erin, and I am from the Retail Team here at Shopify! Thanks for reaching out to us.
While we aim to expand it's availability, presently Shopify Payments is only available for these countries. Unfortunately, it hasn't been rolled out for Croatia at this time.
Merchants located outside of these supported regions will need to use a third party gateway for selling online, and an external payment terminal for selling in person. Because an online gateway will need an integration for our checkout, you must choose from these payment gateways.
An external payment terminal for selling in person means that the processor isn't integrated with the point of sale checkout, so you're free to choose any processor that you prefer for in person sales. Then, to ensure that we have a record of the in person order, you can run the order through ShopifyPOS and mark it as paid with external terminal. Just remember to take payment outside of Shopify to ensure you receive those funds.
In order to use manual entry on the POS app, you will need to either be using ShopifyPayments or these two third party gateways. Since none of these options are currently available in Croatia, a third party payment terminal is your way forward.
Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

So basically I can't use any of the Shopify integrated services that are available for free and instantly
My next question was regarding the fee
Hi guys,Thank you for your response.Shame we are still not on the list of supported countries.Do you charge your processing fee + third party payment gateway their fee when using third party gateways as a payment option or do we pay only processing fee to third party gateway? For example#1Shopify fee + CorvusPay fee or#2CorvusPay fee onlyBest regards,Marin
And response I got is yes, you have to pay fee to Shopify and Corvuspay even though process of integration for Corvuspay is pain in the ass while all integrated options by Shopify come with license but not for my dear beloved country Croatia.
Thanks for getting back in touch! Great question.
Whether or not Shopify transaction fees will apply depends on if you are referring to selling online, or in person.
Online orders using a third party gateway are subject to Shopify's transaction fee, which will vary between 0.5-2% depending on your chosen subscription plan. So in this scenario, you would pay Shopify's transaction fee + CorvusPay fee.
In person orders using a third party payment terminal however are not subject to our transaction fee, so in this situation you would only pay CorvusPay fee.
Whether payment goes through the Shopify checkout is what determines whether or not Shopify's transaction fee applies. Transactions that take place in person via a third party terminal are processed outside of our checkout, and therefore are exempt from our processing fees. This isn't the case for online transactions, however.
Hope that helps,

If anyone needs these information hope it helps cause I waited for them over 10 days so maybe I will save you some time for research.
Only thing you can use so far for payments in Croatia for Croatian kuna is Corvuspay and Coinbase. Whole process from creating account to integration for Coinbase took 10 minutes or less and they take 0% fee!
Unless you use EUR as your main currency then you can use PayPal as well (PayPal does not accept payments in Croatian kuna) but you will have problems with Corvuspay since they require your main display currency to be Croatian kuna. Maybe that can be solved but I had no chance to look into it yet since I am still trying to add all the required information Corvuspay requested to be put on our shop.
Will post updates here for other solutions I find.
