Shopify Support Feels Like They’ve Sworn an Oath Not to Help

I’m here to share my incredibly frustrating experience with Shopify’s support, hoping to find others who have dealt with similar issues. For the past 16 days, I’ve been trying to resolve a Shopify Payments problem, but it feels like the support team has sworn an oath not to help.


The Issue

I encountered this error:
"You have reached the maximum number of attempts for submitting your details. You need to contact support to make any changes."

This error is blocking me from accessing the funds from my orders. Although payments are active, I need these funds to supply and ship products. Without them, my business has been at a standstill, and every day of waiting is making things worse.


16 Days of Silence and Empty Responses

Since opening my first ticket 16 days ago, I’ve submitted two more tickets. But all I’ve received are empty responses like:

  • “Please wait.”
  • “Your case is under review.”
  • “We’ve escalated your ticket.”

They just keep telling me to wait, but nothing ever changes. No emails, no real updates—just silence. It feels like they’re avoiding taking any action on purpose. My patience has run out. I need more than vague responses.


Serious Impact on My Business

This issue has blocked my entire workflow. Without the funds, I can’t order products or ship them to my customers. Shopify’s refusal to act has put my business at serious risk. I can’t understand how a company of this size can offer such poor support—it’s unacceptable.


Has Anyone Experienced This?

If anyone in the community has faced a similar issue, how long did it take to get resolved? What steps, if any, helped you get through to the support team and speed things up?


Enough is Enough

Shopify needs to step up and take responsibility. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. I’ve offered to provide all the necessary documents, but Shopify support continues to ignore the situation. It feels like they’re actively trying not to help.

This has gone on long enough. I need access to my funds now, not another empty promise or delay. If this doesn’t get resolved soon, I’ll have to take further action and make sure others are aware of how unreliable Shopify’s support can be.
