Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Is there a way to set up a shipping origin for address A and have a different address B show as the ship from/return address on the shipping label? Ensuring that address A is used for the shipping cost calculation.
Background: My home/place of business is in one city (address A) and my official business address (virtual mailbox) is in a neighboring city ~11 miles away (address B). I don't want to show my home address on the shipping label, but I do want to drop off packages close to my home and not spend the cost to travel to the neighboring city just to mail packages. I'm worried that there could be a cost difference in postage and a package not get delivered if I use my official business address (address B) for calculations (in order to hide my home address on the label) and then I actually mail my packages from address A.
If there was a way to force the ship from on the label to show address B, this would all be fine and I could just use address A behind the scenes for my shipping calculations. I'm trying to use Shopify Shipping, but would use a shipping app if this can only be solved that way. Any help is appreciated!

Shopify Shipping doesn't support this; also, not all carriers support setting an alternate return address for an order.
If you are using FedEx, then the PH Ship, Rate, and Track app can help you set an alternate return address for an order.
Alternatively, you can check with the respective carrier's website to see if they provide this option.

I can't believe Shopify doesn't support this?! It's 2024. For the amount of money that Shopify charges monthly you would think their developers would be able to provide this. eBay allows it and they don't even charge a monthly fee for selling.
But to answer the OP's question, the best solution I've found is buy some cheap address labels (or print them yourself) with the return address you want to use and just stick it over your printed return address on the shipping label. That way the shipping fee is properly calculated but the customer won't see your personal address.
