SNN Number for Shopify Payment Setup

Hi,

I'm a non-US citizen who have opened my LLC firm in Florida, US. I'd like to open my shopify store as well. During the application for Shopify payments, the system asked me SNN number but I have no SNN number, I have Mercury Bank account and EIN number. How can I proceed with payments? I'd like to open my store? I really appreciate if you can help me? Thank you.

Thank you for reaching out. Are you permanently based in the United States, even if you are not a citizen, or do you live abroad? Are you seeking to register as an individual/ sole proprietor or as an LLC?

Hi @Elcin,

If you are not based in the United States or another eligible country, you would not be able to use Shopify Payments, as per Section 1B of the Shopify Payments Terms of Service:

The Payments Services are only made available to persons in United States that operate a business selling goods and services.

Typically you would need to reside in the United States and have an active bank account with a banking institution that has a physical presence in the country. Other information (such as proof of identity) may be required.

i have similiar issue im based in Nigeria

my country is eligibible

but  very hard setting it up

i dont Have a SSN

Hi @finezstores,

If you are based in Nigeria then you would not be eligible to use Shopify Payments for your online store. There are, however, a number of third-party gateways available to merchants in Nigeria that you can use to process payments on your store.
