SSN

We are about to pull our company out of Shopify because the company is refusing to release our money unless we give them someone's social security number and drivers license. We are a limited liability company and have an EIN which we use to file our tax returns. But Shopify is insisting on the SSN. To make things worse, apparently no one at Shopify uses the telephone any more. We have had to ask all of our questions to chat bots because apparently the company no longer has phones. Can someone please explain what ives here?
