Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hello everyone.
In our store we have set up the COD payment method
Pls help to get clear understanding does the product stock automatically changing when the order is created?
If not - what is the moment the stock is changed?
What is the trigger for stock changing - order, payment or smth else?
E.g. current stock 4 items
Been ordered 1 item.
I expect should be 3 items in stock in the system, but I don't now when.

Hi, @NataKW4P!
Thank you so much for connecting with our network.
I'd be happy to help guide you with your question today and make sure you have the most up to date information.
Stock is deducted from your inventory as soon as a successful order is placed, even when the payment method selected is cash on delivery. The order completion will then trigger an order confirmation, and set in motion delivery as per your store set-up.
This is deliberately set-up in order to avoid duplicate sales of the same product, causing an inventory shortage.
To make sure all scenarios are explored, please let me know if you're working with a third-party app for inventory management or if there is another aspect to your workflow that you are interested in exploring further.
I look forward to your reply,
