Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Third-party provider Stripe does not appear in payment settings. My store is located in Canada, I currently use Shopify payments, this link from Shopify itself guarantees that Stripe can be used in Canada "https://www.shopify.com/payment-gateways"
I've contacted the team for support but I haven't been able to resolve it yet. I've read about changing the country location of the online store and then returning to the country of origin, but I don't know if it really works.
Can anyone help with this?
Note: The reason for using Stripe checkout and not Shopify Payments is that I use Shopify's basic plan, and therefore I can't add Google Tag Manager Scripts to checkout
Hi, @JacksonMarques
Thanks for posting to the Forums. I hope your day is going well!
I understand that you are wanting to use Stripe in order to implement Google Tag Manager in your checkout. Please note, even when using a third party gateway, you are still utilizing Shopify's checkout. As such, you would not be able to add scripts to the checkout even with Stripe.
If you still wish to continue with Stripe, since Shopify Payments is powered by Stripe, it is enabled by request only. Our live Support Team via the Help Center will be able to escalate this request to the respective team.
That being said, you are able to use GTM, albeit not through checkout scripts. You can follow our tutorial here on how to enable this.
