Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
our suite number is not appearing on UPS printed labels as the sender. This is not OK because customers are sending returns to this address and the package is getting lost.
please advise.
hi @CAPTMIKE this can happen due to 2 reasons.
The issue may arise because UPS labels typically prioritize the first address line and may not print the second address line (where suite numbers are often placed). To address this, instead of placing your suite number in Address Line 2, combine it with Address Line 1. For example, change "123 Main St" and "Suite 456" to "123 Main St, Suite 456" in Address Line 1. Make sure to test the shipping labels after making this change and then start shipping.
The "Residential Address" checkbox is an option available on the UPS official website when generating shipping labels. It allows the shipper to specify whether the delivery address is a residential address rather than a commercial address. As a result, the shipping rates for residential addresses can differ from commercial rates, often being slightly higher due to different handling and delivery requirements.
I recommend you check these options and see if you can get the complete address on the shipping labels for a smoother shipping & returns process.
