Taking pan details from the user if the total amount while checkout is more than 2 lakhs

According to new Govt Rules in India if a user makes purchase of more than 2 lakhs we have to ask for the pan details of the user and then only he can proceed with the transaction. How can we implement this condition in checkout while using Shopify Basic plan? Is there any solution for this?

You need to ask it before the checkout process and store it into the cart data.

Can you please share an example or a method to implement this such that if cart exceeds more than 2 lakhs automatically ask for the user pan card and also validate it.

You need a plus plan to show this on the checkout page SInce you are on the basic plan you need to do it before the checkout process.
