Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Shopify has started charging me an extra 2% on transactions like Afterpay and Laybuy as of the end of July 2022. I am really annoyed about this, as a small business this is a huge expense and I don't understand how they can justify charging us now for this when they previously hadn't for years and years. I think it's really unfair and an unethical cash grab.
Customers need flexible payment options and companies like Afterpay & Laybuy already charge us large transactions fee's for their services which now Shopify are charging another 2% on. This really crushes my margins.
If Shopify can continue to keep Paypal at a 0% transaction fee, surely they not penalise us for letting our customers use flexible payment options.
Is there some way I can place a complaint to Shopify or send feedback? I spoke to customer service but they weren't really able to help me.
