Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hi Community,
I am selling products not only directly to customers via my website, but also via third partner channels - meaning, the products are ordered through another marketplace and directly show up on my order page on shopify, as they are connected via API integration, with a tag "marketplace" - so we know, which orders come from which channel.
The marketplace now asked me to turn off any notification emails, that would be usually sent to the customers, as their system takes care of that.
I cannot find anywhere how I turn off these notifications without turning off all notifications.
Can somebody help?
I don't think there's a way to do that, but I would propose turning off the 3rd party notifications instead so you have full control over your customer experience.
Usually when working with 3rd party suppliers, here's what happens:
1) Order comes in and they get notified
2) They fulfill the item then add the tracking to order (usually by API / integrated app)
3) Now with your order being marked fulfilled, the email that you have configured gets sent to the customer with the tracking number.
If you rely on a 3rd party to send emails for you, you have no idea what they could be sending (and also could be sending from their domain, rather than you your store).
