Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
I really think I messed up…..I didn’t like really weigh my products to begin with I just kind of guessed….now I think Shopify is upset with me because now I can’t buy any more labels. How can I fix this?

I totally get your frustration - this is actually a pretty common issue that happens when Shopify gets confused about product weights, and the good news is it's definitely fixable!
So here's what likely happened: when you were guessing at weights instead of weighing products properly, Shopify's system flagged some inconsistencies. Now it's being extra cautious about letting you buy shipping labels because it wants to make sure everything's accurate.
Here's how to fix it:
First, let's get your product weights sorted:
Go into your Shopify admin → Products
For each product, make sure there's a weight entered (anything above 0, even if it's just 0.1 lb)
If you have variants (different sizes/colors), each one needs its own weight
You can bulk edit this if you have tons of products - just export to CSV, fix the weights, and re-import
Then, for the shipping label issue:
This might take a day or two to resolve on Shopify's end once your weights are fixed. Sometimes their system needs a bit of time to "trust" you again after weight inconsistencies.
Quick workarounds while you wait:
Try Pirateship.com - it's free and works great for USPS labels
ShipStation has a free trial if you need something more robust
You can even go to the post office temporarily (I know, not ideal!)
Pro tip: Going forward, definitely weigh your products properly - even a cheap kitchen scale works. Shopify really cares about accurate shipping calculations, and guessing can trigger these kinds of blocks.
Don't stress too much about this - I've seen tons of merchants go through the exact same thing, and it always gets resolved. Just fix those weights and give it 24-48 hours. If you're still having issues after that, definitely reach out to Shopify support directly.
