Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Good Morning. I am unable to purchase shipping labels. When I choose "Buy Shipping Label" button, the "buying shipping label" pop-up comes up for a few seconds, then it gives me the error "There was a problem buying shipping labels" ... as well as "Something went wrong, please try again."

Would you be able to send a screenshot of the error message? Which shipping provider are you working with specifically?
I would also encourage you to try purchasing on a different web browser and clearing cache and cookies. Please let me know how that goes and we can go from there.

Hey Holly, I've tried 3 browsers (Edge, Firefox and Chrome) and I've had no luck. Also, I would love to provide a screen shot, however each time I try it says it only MP4 and CSV are support (not .PNG or .JPG that I have.
Additionally, the error occur when trying to purchase from both UPS and USPS.

I am having this problem as well. I cannot buying shipping labels.
Same here, nothing working and we have a pile to ship smh!

Holly - what is the STATUS of the fix? We cannot run an on-line business without shipping labels. How long has this been an issue?
Same issue, was told by help chat "Also, I just became aware that purchases of labels without Insurance appear to be going through." Don't know how to do this... up to $100 in insurance seems to be automatically applied

The thing people don't ever want to hear is that there are only a small handful of merchants having a problem.
Shopify Status page still showing "All systems are operational" is not ok. We thought we had an internal problem until seeing this discussion and spending wasted time on a support chat. We ALL need a realistic projection of when this will be fixed. We have employees on standby and customers waiting. Extremely poor communication from Shopify - this is a very COSTLY outage for businesses using this platform.

I am having the same problem. Have re-booted my computer, tried different browsers and computers.
Why is this marked SOLVED when it is not? This issue is ongoing for many of us, and our businesses are suffering because of it.
We are experiencing this issue as well - unable to purchase shipping labels. What is the eta on a resolution for this? It affects our ability run our business properly. Thank you!

We are having this issue as well. We tried from laptop and from phone app. We also tried multiple carriers. Same result. We were relived to see we are not the only merchants experiencing this issue. Will keep an eye on the forum.
Does this have to do with accounts that are using the old "Shopify" plan?

Hi Holly, Has it been resolved? It effect our Shopify too, we could not purchase shipping lablel.
I have been having this same issue since Saturday, I have delayed nearly 300 packages that was suppose to ship out this week due to this "Technical issue" shopify is currently having & the support center is not helpful. So frustrating at this point. 😫

I am getting the same problem when trying to bulk purchase my labels. Im getting a 200s OK back when POSTing to all the endpoints during bulk label purchase, EG:
Can provide payloads if necessary.
Getting generic "USPS: Something went wrong, please try again" error when hovering over the error icon.
When did this issue begin for you? It looks like your screenshot is from a mobile device but your thread title states that you cannot buy the label on your PC. Can you confirm which device(s) and web browsers you have been using that leads to the this error?
In the meantime, I'd encourage you to clear your browser of cache and cookies to see if that helps.

I cleared cache and cookies and still No Luck.
Hello - have your labels been fixed yet? Ours are still down and completely paralyzing our ability to run our business. Very very frustrating.
Every time I try to purchase labels for my orders, I get the same error message "USPS: Something went wrong, please try again." How can I resolve this issue? Are there settings I need to change or is this an issue with USPS?

Seems they are having issues with some of their shipping label integrations, there is an incident logged on their status page: https://www.shopifystatus.com/
not much we can do except wait for updates for it to be fixed...

Hello - I’m trying to fulfill orders yet whenever go to buy shipping labels, it either times out or I get a server error. I followed the guidelines about clearing cache and cookies but this is still occurring. It will allow me to print one label and when I go to the next order it will time out or give server error. I’ve used both my laptop and phone and multiple browsers, I’m also up to date on my software updates. This has been consistent for the past 24 hours.
can someone please advise what is going on and how I can fix it?
