Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out to see if anyone has experienced a similar issue and can offer advice. My Shopify Payments account has been put on hold without any prior notification or clear reason from Shopify. Here’s what happened:
A few days ago, I noticed that my payouts were suddenly on hold. This came without any warning or email from Shopify, which is incredibly concerning. I’ve tried contacting Shopify support multiple times through live chat, phone, and email, but I haven’t received any concrete information or timeline for when this will be resolved.
This hold on funds is severely impacting my business. I’m struggling to pay suppliers, meet payroll, and cover other essential expenses. If this issue isn’t resolved soon, it could potentially ruin my business.
I have already checked my account information to ensure everything is accurate and up-to-date. I’ve also made multiple attempts to communicate with Shopify support, but their responses have been vague and unhelpful.
Has anyone else dealt with this issue before? What steps did you take to resolve it? I’m particularly interested in understanding:
Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated. I’m feeling quite desperate as this situation is putting my business at significant risk.

How long have you had this issue ? Have they requested any information from you ?
Almost a week... They asked me only about my VAT number, but my payout is still on pending and i do not see the money on my balance anymore. Its just 0.

I am having the same issue has have been waiting over two weeks now! No updates as to when the issue will actually be resolved!

Was this ever resolved? We just received the 'Funds on hold, Customers can still checkout and to contact support for the next steps.' So far it's been 2 days of contacting support and no resolution and no idea why there even is as a hold as supposedly there are no notes as to why funds would be on hold & now they say "Support Advisor): I just received a notification from our team that their channel is closed as of the moment and will continue their operations tomorrow." How is it possible it's closed on a Thursday at 2PM EST? We cannot run a business this way.
