Verify Purchase to activate website account

I created a purchase button in shopify.
Put it on my website, how do I verify on my site that the purchase was made and gone through ?

I want specific features and sections of my website available after a purchase has been completed using the shopify button.

Apologies for the delay.

It sounds like you are referring to Shopify's Buy Button which you are using on another website so that customers can place an order for your products.

The Buy Button is linked to your Shopify Account. You will have a Shopify account with the Buy Button sales channel. So when a customer places an order on your website, it is generated in your store admin through that sales channel. We have a help document about processing orders that will walk you through the steps.

I need some way for my external website to know that an order was placed and completed. Like a reference number that can be captured on the external website or though the buy button.
