What are the best direct payment gateways for a Canadian store?

Hello, I'm from canada and I need direct a payment gateway for my store just like "shopify payments" I want my customers to finish their payment on the shopify checkout page itself, without redirecting them to an external website to complete the payment.

So shopify payments is not available for me, and I checked most of the payment gateways for canada here: https://www.shopify.ca/payment-gateways/canada and most of them are external payment gateways...

Any help?

Hi there @Elie98!

Thanks for sharing your query with us here in the Community, and thanks also @Horlart_Expert for your input here!

As they mentioned, an 'offsite' or indirect gateway would indeed allow your customers to pay via card and would not generally require any sort of account or login with that service.

There's more info here on our help site on direct and indirect gateways you can check out.

We don't keep an updated list of which gateways provide a direct integration, but from our resources, it looks like Authorize.net, Bambora, CyberSource, First Data Payeezy, Moneris, and PayPal Payflow Pro do (or did) offer onsite checkout from among those available for use in Canada.

I'd advise you to continue looking into the options available to you there where you are and try contacting some of the providers to see if they can confirm if their integration with Shopify is direct, or offsite.

Can you tell me a bit more about your business, what you're selling or what stage your business is at generally?

Would this be your first time setting up a store using Shopify, or have you launched a store here previously?

Yes, Most of them are external website, but some only require the customer to pay with credit card and not use their external website... It's you that will need to get your payment for the external website
