What happens when refunding an order without funds in the account?

I quit using my Shopify store and started using square. Today, this morning I got an order on Shopify (my store is still active and i didn’t know). As said I don’t use Shopify so there wasn’t any funds in my account, and I refunded the customer before the money for the order even reached my shopify balance (refunded them before payout). What happens with this? There’s no funds in my account, so what happens?? Will my balance go into the negative? If it does, what do i do???
