Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hi, all
I would like to ask question about the payment gateway in Indonesia. I tried for the last week but haven't got any fit for me. One provider even ask me to pay $1000 for set it up. Do you have any reference for the free one?
FYI, I have tried 2C2P but they charged a lot, 2checkout I have to choose digital or physical, but I want them both. Other wants me to subs for some money. I am new on Shopify, so I'm not really understand about it.
Is there any idea that easy to apply the payment gateway and it's free?

I'm sorry that you are confused by those problems. After you check the list of all available payment providers within Indonesia, you will find a payment provider named NihaoPay. NihaoPay has Indonesia payment solutions as well as global e-wallets. There is no cost for the integration. I'm happy to assist you to onboard with NihaoPay if you have any interests.

I use xendit and it is good for all major credit cards. It’s annoying for an online store that sells world wide not to be able to accept Apple Pay etc just because your store is registered in Indonesia. Shopify need to pull their finger out on this. It’s crazy they will let me sell to a US or Australian customer where Apple Pay is allowed but won’t let my customer pay with Apple Pay just because my store is registered in Indonesia.
It’s currently costing me sales to because it “has to” revert back to IDR at checkout for some idiotic reason. Another brilliant Shopify condition. So people who shop with the converter in AUD get all the way to check out then get weirded out by it suddenly showing IDR and just abandon their carts.
Yeah that's exactly the reason we're having this problem huh.
Browsing - cart in AUD/USD, then the customer gets to checkout page, can only show IDR. Problem not solved yet for me, unfortunately.
I'm having the same as problem as well, Xendit offers a lot of payment options. However it is a hassle to work with extra currency changing apps, the IDR showing at the checkout page. I've had contact with Shopify multiple times, asking if they can please launch Shopify Payments in Indonesia as well. So far no result, unfortunately.

Hey guys, Shopify Expert based in Indonesia here from ssdc.co. If you're wondering about the currencies issue, you can only use IDR in Indonesia because 1. there is no Shopify Payments, 2. because thats the regulation. So it depends on what is your base currency in Shopify. If your base currency is IDR, then you can use the payment gateway Xendit or Midtrans or Doku. These are the three biggest. If your base currency is USD, you can use PayPal. With PayPal you can accept USD payments and get the money directly into your bank account in Indonesia. 2Checkout doesnt work well anymore and you're left with little option. Perhaps an alternative is Lian Lian. But simply by these 2 options, you cant use the Shopify feature of Markets and sell with different pricing per country. So if you do sell different price and different currency, I have another solution. For this please contact me directly.
