What is the best payment gateway for a US-based B2C online store?

I currently run a b2c shopify store for us customers and the products I am selling aren't able to work with shopify payments. Therefore I'm looking for another payment gateway to be able to process transactions on my store, which one would be recommended for my business ? (optics and weapons related products, but that don't require a weapon to work properly);

I'd recommend trying PayPal (https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/payments/paypal) or else Authorize.net (https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/payments/third-party-providers/set-up-authorize-net).
