What is the best payment provider for selling in Belgium?

Hi,

I would like to ask which payment provider is best suited for selling only in Belgium.

I have a store selling nicotine pouches, but I received a mail from Risk team that I am not allowed to use Shopify Payments anymore, due to the products I am selling, I am still in conversation with the Risk Team, since the products I am selling do not fall under tobacco, e-sigarettes or vape products. It's a bit of a grey zone.

I would like to offer Paypal, Bancontact, Mastercard and Visa as payment methodes.

I have currently linked Paypal as a loose provider, but which 3rd party provider is best suited to integrate the other 3 as a whole?

Hi Jordon,

As stated in my topic, the Risk team has currently declined me from using Shopify Payments. 

So I will have to look at 3rd party providers, the question there is, which one is best suited for my needs.

A full list of payment gateways available to Belgian merchants can be found here. Outside of Shopify Payments there are still a wide variety of payment gateways you can choose from, although it's possible that some providers will also not allow nicotine-related products to be sold through their gateways. It's best to view the policies of each gateway you are considering as they will vary, and to reach out to them directly if you have questions about selling your products using their services.

While I can't say with any certainty that you'll definitely be able to sell your pouches through their gateways, I would recommend looking into both Bankful and Authorize.net as these providers typically allow for more "high risk" products to be sold through their gateways than most.

Thank you for reaching out. You can take a look at payment providers available in China and see which ones fit your needs. I'd recommend contacting the payment gateways directly and asking them if they allow for the sale of nicotine products as this is determined by each gateway individually.
