Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
We have a merchant that is utilizing Shopify for their ecommerce transactions utilizing the Shopify Payments gateway. By switching them to Authorize.net as the new payment gateway, they want to make sure they are not going to lose any of their functionality. Will Shop Pay still work for the customer after the switch? Maintaining a positive customer experience is very important. Also, will Shopify charge more for their package if this merchant does switch to another payment gateway? From what I've read, it seems quite simple to switch to Authorize.net within Shopify. Is there anything else I may be missing that could impact this merchant in a negative way?
Thank you,
Dennis
When you say "switching" do you mean you want to deactivate Shopify payment and move to Authorize.net or do you want to add Authorize.net?
If you are deactivating the Shopify Payment, it means you will not be able to use all payment methods that is being provided by the Shopify Payment option including Shop Pay...
Does that mean the merchant can keep Shopify Payments for their Shop Pay payments and add Authorize.net to process Visa, MC, Disc and Amex? With this new scenario, will Shopify charge a fee for processing these transactions through the third-party gateway Authorize.net?
As long as the payment method is available in your region, It will work
