Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hello,
I'm currently based in Cambodia and starting my first ever dropshipping store. My store is targeting USA, UK, and Europe. During Signup i set my location as Cambodia and added my address details then i started working on the website until few days ago i realize there are no payment providers available (in Payment section on shopify) in Cambodia. So, i changed the store location to Thailand and i see few options become available but when i signup on the payment provider website they ask for Company registration and other legal documents which i can't provide because i don't have a registered business yet. I see the payment provider options changes/becomes available depending on the store location(store details section in shopify).
1. Can i set my store location to UK/USA? so that i have more payment options?
2. Which payment provider doesn't require company registration and allows signup as individual?
3. Do i need to have a bank account in the country where my store location is set to?
4. Any payment provider that allow registration with cambodian/thai bank?
Please help.
Thanks in advance.
Dear @nick994
Please see below responses to your clarifications.
1. Can i set my store location to UK/USA? so that i have more payment options?
Change of Store location it self will not resolves your issue. You have to have a registered business and Business bank account to open any account with payment provider.
2. Which payment provider doesn't require company registration and allows signup as individual?
All payment providers
3. Do i need to have a bank account in the country where my store location is set to?
Yes
4. Any payment provider that allow registration with cambodian/thai bank?
We can assist you integrating any Cambodian/Thai payment gateway with your Shopify store.
e.g PayWay ABA Bank
Our integration is a native integration and will enable you to process payments and receive customer payments through your preferred payment provider is Cambodia/Thailand.
Feel free to drop us an email to "nipuna at oganro dot com" for further details.
Thanks

Hello N_Abey
I installed the ABA payments link you shared, but I'm not sure if I filled in the correct information. When I tested it, it prompted me to activate the gateway. What should I do next?
Thanks in advance
Hello Mony18
How about Shopify Payment Gateway ?
I have some problem like you.
hi @nick994 , @SP2121 @mony18 @belair97
Given that some Shopify merchants have questions about which payment applications are supported for Cambodian payment gateways, I'd like to provide some more detail.
The digital payment scene in Cambodia is rapidly expanding, with a variety of Alternative Payment Methods (APMs) available to meet the wide-ranging needs of consumers and businesses alike.
From what I understand, the ABA Bank's PayWay is a prime choice for Cambodia, as it offers the capability to connect with the international market. It does this through credit and debit card payments, including Visa, MasterCard, UnionPay, and JCB, as well as the ABA KHQR option, which allows payments through the banking app.
Steps to obtain ABA Bank merchant facility is as below
1) First, you need to have an ABA Personal Bank Account.
2) Next, sign up for the ABA Merchant App (check out this link for instructions on setting up PayWay mobile for your business).
3) After registering for the app, you'll get test credentials automatically. To get live merchant credentials, you need to conduct a test transaction through the Shopify ABA PayWay app and submit a screenshot or video capture of the successful transaction to ABA_JPDesk. The ABA team will then grant you access to live merchant features. (you can contact them through telegram)
If you're facing any issues, watch this video for step-by-step installation instructions for the Shopify ABA PayWay App.
Please be aware that to use the live mode for the Shopify ABA application, you need to contact the ABA Team to have your app URLs whitelisted. Don't hesitate to send us a direct message for further information.
We are always here to help you if you have further clarifications.
Happy Selling
Hello N_Abey,
I am experiencing the same issue. I have just started my dropshipping business in Cambodia, and the payment system isn't working. Please respond to me via email.
Thank you for your assistance.

Hi @nick994,
The information provided by @N_Abey is their response is correct. If you want to create a merchant account and accept payments with a payment processor, you're going to need a bank account in the country in question as well as other things such as a local address, personal identification documents, and more. It'll be difficult for you to use a US or UK-based merchant account without living in these countries.
You'll instead want to use a payment gateway that offers merchant services in your country. You can view a list of payment gateways available in Cambodia to see what options are available.
