Local shop who has a lot of local customers that shop online and do order pickup. Problem is the zero shipping charge for local pickup shows up as first line on shipping screen and non local customers are choosing this at checkout or not realizing that is what they chose. Becoming a real pain emailing every order that needs to have additional shipping charges sent. Help! How do I set it up so that it comes after or goes by zip codes or something else. I cannot do a discount code as only one code works at checkout and then my local customers couldn't enter a sale code.
I have an idea for how you could do this!
You could insert an additional input field that is a required field - that will then determine the Postage selection.
@StoneDigital Can you be a little more specific? I am looking to do the same thing (restricting local pickup to our zip code) and am having trouble finding a way to do it.
Shopify finally created local pickup! It is working quite well for us. It doesn’t allow someone outside of the zip code range to select local which is great and doesn’t mess with having to use a coupon code for local delivery/pickup.
So J...this is off-topic but do you know how to group customers just by zip code to send them a specific email only going to them? I'm in customers now and see there are filters but not for just specific locations like zip codes.
Are you referring to Local Delivery or Local Pickup? Local Delivery allows us to set the zip codes while Local Pickup doesn't give us an option to limit the zip codes. We still have customers who are out of town click on Local Pickup when they see the "FREE" option without paying attention to the location.
