When will I receive my Shop Pay purchase order payment?

Hello,

I have a store on Shopify & in need of assistance. I received a Shop Pay purchase yesterday & would like to inquire about when I’ll be receiving my payment for the purchase order? I tried searching online via Shopify app but can’t find anything specifically stating when I’ll receive a payment?

Is there a Customer Service Support phone number?? No chat options available for assistance?? This is terrible! Please help’

Hi, @BodyByQueen. I'm happy to help you out with this! To clarify, was the order placed with Shop Pay in general or Shop Pay Installments?

Shop Pay Installments is a 'buy now, pay later' solution integrated with Shop Pay and powered by Affirm. It allows customers to split their purchase into installment payments. Shop Pay, on the other hand, is a secure checkout option for Shopify stores.

If the order was paid via Shop Pay, you would receive payments based on your Shopify Payments payout schedule. You can review your Shopify Payments transactions and payout schedule in your Shopify admin by going to Settings > Payments and clicking Manage next to Shopify Payments. The steps to do this are explained here as well. If the customer is using Shop Pay Installments to pay for their order, you would receive full payment for the order within 1 to 3 business days. In this case you would get paid by Affirm and your payouts would be sent to the same bank account that you use for Shopify Payments. I already have Shop Pay set up as a payment option on my store. The information provided via Shopify do not specifically answer my question at hand. This is day 2 since my customers have utilized Shop Pay. In the payout section, it does not specifically mention when I’ll be paid. What is the turnaround time to be paid when customers use Shop Pay installment plans? 

In my opinion, not having actual a customer service phone number and or chat to assist in these sorts of inquiries is very frustrating & ridiculous! Smh

No I did NOT get any resolution & or an appropriate response. After 3 days, I received a payout from Shopify via a Shop Pay installment plan selected. Shopify has fallen completely off in regards to the removal of real time Customer Service Support ( an actual phone number & Tech Support). No stars would be my review for Shopify!

We do still have customer support for merchants. You can get in contact with our support team by visiting this page and following the steps I shared in my last repsonse. If you're having trouble with this, please tell me more about what's happening on your end when you go through those steps and I can help walk you through it.

To answer your questions about payouts, your payout schedule will depend on where you're located and the way you've set up your schedule in your payment settings. I won't be able to tell you the exact date you'll receive your next payout as I can't see this information here over the Shopify Community, but you can learn more about the pay period for your region by selecting your country on this page. You can also find more information on your specific payouts by following the steps in this guide.

All that being said, as I mentioned in my last response, if the order was paid through Shop Pay Installments you receive full payment for the order within 1 to 3 business days after the order was placed. It sounds like you received this payment after 3 days so your payouts for Shop Pay Installments seem to be working as expected.
