When will I see payments from my online store in my bank?

Hello all, this is a really beginner's question. I just started the shopify store. I have tried to place two orders (by my friends). They have paid it but I cannot see the money in  my bank which is associated with payments on shopify. The order status shows 'fulfilled' for both orders. Can you please help what needs to be done to transfer the money from shopify to bank?

Thanks,

Tanz

Hi Tanz,

June here from Shopify. Thanks so much for your question and congratulations on your new business! There's never any harm in getting clarification when you're unsure of something. Since you're just beginning to receive orders, I definitely recommend our resource How you get paid

To better understand what you might be experiencing, I'd love to know:

  • Is each order listed as "Paid", as well as "Fulfilled"?
  • What payment gateway was used to process these payments? You can confirm by visiting each order in your admin, scrolling down to the Timeline, and selecting the successful payment note (this may look something like: A $10.00 payment was processed on the Visa ending in xxxx). What is listed under the title Gateway?
  • Was Shopify Payments active (not in test mode) at the time of these orders?
  • When you visit Settings > Payments > Shopify Payments > View payouts, is there any mention of when you can expect to see your first payout deposited?

With a little more information, I can recommend any next steps, as well as clarify the what and why of what you're seeing.

Have a lovely day!

Thanks for answering!
