Which payment gateway should i use? NEED HELP

Hi. I'm a new seller on shopify.

I just transferred my online store from Squarespace to shopify.

and shopify is just so confusing right now.

Is there any other way that people could just submit their card numbers without having to go through the payment gateway? (i integrated paypal and even pay pal requires you to make an account before checking out. It seems like there's one more step to check out products)

I'm currently on starter level for shopify plan and i integrated Skrill.

And Skrill doesn't let me check out products.
Is it the shopify plan issue that I could not integrate Skrill right now?

Also if I want to use Stripe do i have to change my shopify plan too? because i'm not seeing Stripe on my payment provider right now.

With all these situation, should i also integrate shopify payment? what's the benefit of it? the transaction fee is just crazy.
So Frustrating. I would greatly appreciate your help here

Hi @TurtleshipUS

Welcome to the Shopify platform! I understand that it may seem confusing at first, but it will get easier as you settle in - and we're always here to help.

You've mentioned that you're using the Shopify Starter Plan. The Shopify Starter plan is for merchants that are just starting out and who want to sell to their customers through social media platforms or messaging apps, without maintaining an online store.

So this means that customers can buy a product from your social media profile by clicking a link and being taken to checkout. It sounds like you want them to be able to simply input their card details and checkout, so to do that you will need a card processing gateway.

Stripe is a card processing gateway that wouldn't be available to you because Shopify Payments is our main offering ahead of Stripe. Shopify Payments is our own credit card processor, which is great because it eliminates the hassle of setting up a third-party payment provider (like Stripe) and having to enter the credentials into Shopify. With Shopify Payments, you're automatically set up to accept all major payment methods.

When you use Shopify Payments, you aren't charged third-party transaction fees for orders that are processed through Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, Shop Pay Installments, and Paypal Express, and you aren't charged transaction fees on manual payment methods such as cash, cash on delivery (COD), and bank transfers.

What are you selling? And what kind of brand are you building?
