Why am I being charged more for shipping than what my customer paid?

Why are my customers paying a certain amount for shipping rate when their purchase is made but then I am charged even more for shipping by the print provider ?

This is all new to me. I dont even know how to adjust it. I don't want to
overcharge my customer but I also don't want to pay more for shipping than
they do which eats my profits
