Why am I not receiving an order confirmation in test mode?

Hey all,

 

Quick question, I'm on test mode using Shopify payments,  after checkout out I don't receive an order confirmation.  Why is that? Is there something wrong ?

This is an accepted solution.

If you're referring the the customer order confirmation, that's sent automatically (there's no way to disable it) so I would recommend checking that you spelled the email correctly when you placed your order, or else check your junk inbox. Also check your 'orders' page in the Shopify admin, to confirm that the 'test order' actually went through successfully. 

 

If you're referring to the order notification that you would get as the store owner (saying that someone has placed an order), then you would want to check your notifications settings, to make sure you have the email address added that you want to receive the notifications to:

I didn't receive an email nor did I receive confirmation order during test mode. What shall I do?
