Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
I recently set up my shopify store, and all of my orders say ‘pending’ next to them, and have no payout date, do you know why this would be?
Hi, @dansboylan!
Thanks for reaching out in our Community Forums and for sharing your concern, I’d be happy to help.
This can occur for several reasons. The most common reason is that customers check out with a different payment method than credit card. The pending status reflects that the payment is being processed. You can confirm if this is the case by clicking on the desired order, scrolling down to the orders detail page, and viewing the timeline. From there, you can confirm if a payment attempt was made.
Next, it's possible that you are currently capturing payments after an order has been placed. You can confirm this by viewing our payment authorization guide and checking if your store offers manual payment capture. Finally, it's possible that your orders are being completed through manual payment methods, such as Cash On Delivery.
Feel free to review these possible settings and adjust them accordingly to your preferences. If you are still having issues, kindly share more information about how you are currently processing payments.

Hi Mac,
I currently set up my shopify store and have had 2 orders but I am having the same problem as stated above and have also tried your methods but have had no luck?
Hi Mac,
Unfortunately, none of your methods gave me a solution, i am still without a payout date on all of my orders and they all still say ‘pending’ under the payout status
