Why are my payouts on hold due to a standard review?

Hi,

 

My payouts are on hold due to standard review and since that no one has reached out to me from the shopify. I contacted the customer support yesterday and they escalated the case but still no update on that. I understand that shopify take certain precautions but holding the payouts does effect the small businesses too.

 

Also can someone please explain to me what is this standard review all about?

I understand that your payouts are currently on hold however, you've already taken the steps to contact support to have this looked into. Rest assured, I'll do my best to share more insight on the review process and what next steps you can take.

 

When using Shopify Payments, our financial services team may do checks on accounts and take a look at the overall well-being of a store. This can include reviewing requested documents, how soon orders are fulfilled, and any high-risk orders that may be placed. This helps our financial services team determine our merchants continued eligibility to use Shopify Payments. You can view all this and more information on our Shopify Payments Terms of Service - United States page as well.

 

Generally, reviews may take between 1-3 business days and our teams do try their very best to get back to our merchants within this timeline. However, this could take longer depending on the volume of work or if any additional information is required from the team. Therefore, I would request you to keep an eye out for any emails from our team and reply directly to that email for further clarification. Please be sure to check your inbox, spam folder, junk email, etc. 

 

If our financial services team needs additional information, they would reach out to you directly via email with information or next steps. Since you've been in touch with a department at Shopify about the hold on your account, the best place to get more information would be to reply directly to the email they have sent as they are the team that would handle this.

 

We understand that this is important for your store's functionality and assure you that we are working on this to ensure the review is completed as quickly as possible. Once the review is done and payouts are enabled, you will no longer see the banner regarding the hold on the home page of your store admin.
