Why are my Shopify payments delayed?

Hello community, I hope you are doing well and your business too.

So my payment schedule with shopify payments is every business day but I always get the money in my bank account 4-5 days later, which handicaps me a bit.

I spoke to a support lady (Lisa) who was very kind but I'm not too convinced.

Can someone please enlighten me? Thanks in advance.

In addition to the pay period, amount of time between the day a customer places an order on your store, and the day the funds from that order are sent to your bank account. On top of that, it also takes 24 - 72 hours to receive the money to the bank from the moment they are sent-out.

Okay I understand better, thank you. Which means we can never have instant payments with shopify payments?
