Hello

I've just launched my online store and i have paypal express at the checkout, that happened automatically. all the emails are the same but anyone that has paid with paypal express so far their payments are pending and its been days and i've promised my customers that i would fullfill orders in 2 days.

Am i supposed to give paypal the API or intergrate in some way other than just having a business paypal account with the same email? should i deactive paypal express and integrate normal paypal?

Hey, @woolf_and_bell! Welcome to Shopify Community!

A PayPal business account is required when you integrate PayPal Express Checkout in your store and offer this as a payment gateway. A business account is automatically created with your account owner email address, however, you have the option to change this to a different email or business account if you already have an existing one. You can read about this on this page.

When you have a new account in PayPal, they typically place payments on hold as part of their process in ensuring that the platform is safe to use for buyers and sellers. When your funds are pending for this reason, they can be released in 21 days, but you can expedite that timeframe by submitting a tracking number for your shipment, or proof that the order was sent and delivered to the customer. Since this is the case, the order needs to be fulfilled before you receive the payment in your PayPal wallet. You can learn more about this in PayPal's Help Center, or on this page. For further questions or concerns about this, you may contact PayPal's support through this page.

Since you've already gotten orders, it sounds like your launch went well. Congrats! Don't forget to work on maintaining the momentum so you continue to keep the excitement going and make sales. Feel free to take some ideas from this blog post that shares post-launch marketing tactics.
