Why are there discrepancies in transaction rates and payments?

Hi,

Recent transaction made, found a discrepancies on the rates charged. On the bill stated 3.1% + $0.5 and as for the subscription sign-up (USD79/month) stated 2.6% + 0.30USD. Why is there a different? Please advise.

I'd be only too happy to take a closer look at what's going on here to see what we can see.

Firstly, if you could share a link to your storefront and an order number for the order in question, I can use this to investigate this for you.

If you don't mind also sharing where your store is based (I would presume the US as you mentioned USD) and if you see these rates being applied across other orders or just this one, that would also be helpful.

The more info and context you can provide here the more tools we will have to investigate this together.

As you did not confirm where your store is based still, I would presume from your domain name extension that you are based in Singapore.

If so, you can check out details of our plans available there here on our Singaporean pricing page.

The regular Shopify plan ($79 USD/month) would mean you are paying 3.1% + $0.50 SGD on each transaction which seems to match the rate you stated yourself.

Feel free to look over the pricing page for your region there and let me know if you have any other questions.

Are you just getting started with this business or have you been selling for a while somewhere?
