Why can I only add one custom line to a draft order invoice?

Hello,  I find myself needing to create invoices using custom line orders frequently.  I recently noticed that I am now only able to create one custom line per draft order invoice.  Is this a new thing or an error that I am getting?  Ideally I would like to be able to charge for all the custom things I am doing on one invoice.

Thanks for asking your question here in the Shopify Community. I want to let you know that there was an issue with adding custom items in the past where only one custom item could be added to your draft orders. Our developers worked on this and it has now been resolved.

Can you please try to add a custom item to your draft orders again, and reply back to this thread to let us know if it works for you and your store?

Hi!
Are there any problems with adding draftOrder with custom items via API?

I tried both options with variantId = null and without variantId, but in any case I get an error:

 

{ field: null, message: 'Product variant not found.' }

 

 

 

lineItems: [
>      {
>        variantId: null,
>        quantity: 1,
