Hi !

 

I want to activate my Shopify Balance Account, but I cannot activate the cards.

I need help, please!

 

Since I start with Shopify, I don't sell anything yet. I spend a lot of money without making any sales yet!

Shopify Balance accounts are currently in early access and are not available to all merchants.

If you are eligible, then you will receive an email inviting you to join Shopify Balance.

 

To open a Shopify Balance account, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • be a store based in the United States
  • have a valid US Social Security Number (SSN)
  • have a mobile phone that can receive text messages
  • Have Shopify Payments enabled.

I am meeting all of the requirements for shopify balance but am not getting it to activate. Is there another reason for this?

Hello, I am having the same issue. Did you ever come to a resolution? I'm about at my wits end with no answers.

Hello, I am also having this same issue. I've "accepted" 4 times to no avail. It just keeps telling me "You’ll be notified when your account is activated—this usually takes a few minutes. Sales will be paid to your new Shopify Balance account". This has been going on for over a month now.

 

The last 4 people I spoke with said this: "Your account has been fully verified and we have reset the Balance onboarding process, so now you should be able to complete Balance setup by going to Finances>Balance and agree to the terms of service here: " Which I've done 4 times and still get that darned message.

 

I've been in contact with Shopify and cannot get any resolution or any answers other than "we have escaled this issue to our finance team". I'm hoping I can get some sort of resolution here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
