Why can't I find Stripe or Shopify payments in the Czech Republic?

Hello, I need help, I wanted to connect Stripe but I didnt find it so I searched that if there is Shopify payments available, than stripe is not, but I cant find shopify payments neither. What do I do? ps: my country is Czech republic

Thanks for reaching out in our Community forum. I appreciate you bringing your question to us here. I'm happy to provide some clarification. 

 

Currently, Shopify Payments is not available payment gateways in the Czech Republic. However, there is a long list of third-party payment gateways that you can select from, some of which include: 

 

  • 2Checkout 
  • Adyen 
  • BitPay

Hello, we will be selling jewelry. 

 

But I looked here: https://www.shopify.com/payment-gateways/czechia?utm_campaign=Guru+Ask&utm_medium=Forum&utm_source=s... and there is

"Stripe, preferred partner", what does that mean

Thanks for getting back to me. I appreciate that additional context. Stripe should be available for you to add as a payment option at checkout. To activate stripe you can follow these steps: 

 

  1. Log in to your Shopify store.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Payments.
  4. In the Accept Credit Cards section select Stripe.
  5. Click Activate.
  6. Click Complete account setup.
  7. Enter the various details and submit.

Please let me know how that goes for you. If you're still not seeing Stripe as an option, we can walk through this with you. Since we're unable to provide account-specific support through the Community, it will be best to reach out to our support team. Please visit our Help Center and log in to your account to create a support request. Once you have logged in, type your request in 'Ask about a topic', scroll down to 'Get Support' and then click 'Continue. 

 

In regards to your PayPal account, can you please share a screenshot with us of the error you're seeing? May I ask if you've completed the setup of your PayPal account? This document is really helpful: Set up PayPal on your Store.

And one more question, at this time we only have one payment and thats paypal, but sometimes it says "pay with credit or debit card" withou logging in to paypal and sometimes is says "login in or create account" and no credit... what to do with that?
