Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hi
Since I am pretty new on Shopify, I wanted to know the following:
I have just made a sale on my shop and the client has paid and received the product.
When I go into Shopify I can't receive the money and I do not want to put my personal info, especially any form of Identification. If the sale has been made by Shopify payments and I have later disabled it, will I still be eligible for my money to be credited or not? if so how? Is there any solution?
Thank You for your time and patience
Hello @Super_confused
If you have received payment through Shopify Payments, you will need to provide some personal and business information in order to verify your identity and set up your payout account. This is a requirement of Shopify Payments, as well as other payment gateways, to prevent fraud and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
If you disable Shopify Payments after a sale has been made, you will still be able to receive your funds. However, you will need to set up an alternative payment method in order to do so. This can be a third-party payment gateway such as PayPal or Stripe, or you can choose to receive payments directly through your bank account.
To set up an alternative payment method, go to your Shopify admin, click on Settings, and then select Payment providers. From there, you can choose to add a new payment provider and follow the instructions to set up your account.
Keep in mind that each payment gateway has its own requirements and fees, so it's important to do your research and choose one that best suits your needs. Additionally, some payment gateways may also require you to provide personal and business information in order to set up your account and receive payouts.
If you have any concerns about providing personal information, you may want to consider consulting with a legal or financial professional to help you navigate this process.
I have opened the option of poli payments however there is no option to receive the payment it is still asking me to provide my photo id to receive money through Shopify payments.
