  • I tried to order an item from my store for my grandaughter. When I got to the checkout, I put in all the info for a shipping address (which is my address on file with Shopify) Then it popped up this message: "This order can't be shipped to the address you entered. Review your address to ensure that all fields have been entered correctly and try again" I did, and it did the same thing. Then I put in our grandaughters  home address and the same messge popped up. Help please. I just opened my store on 02/25/2023

Hi @dodobird,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I'm happy to provide some assistance with the checkout process, to ensure this gets resolved. To confirm I'm fully understanding, is this error populating on your own shop?

If so, there's a few reasons this error may be populating. I've gone ahead and listed below a few troubleshooting steps you can complete to see if this helps to resolve:

  • Ensure that all of your products are in valid shipping profiles. You can find your shipping profiles by going to Settings > Shipping and delivery. For more information, you can check out our Shipping Profiles documentation.
  • Confirm that you've set up shipping zones and shipping rates correctly. To locate your shipping rates, you can head into Settings > Shipping and delivery from the Shopify admin and click Manage next to the shipping profile. Once there you will want to make sure you see compatible shipping zones and rates for each location that you're shipping too. For more information on this, you can check out our Shipping Zones and Shipping Rates documentation.
  • For price based shipping rates, you will want to confirm that your rates cover all order total possibilities. For example, if you only have one rate set up as "free shipping on orders $100 and up", but your customer is trying to check out with an order less than $100, there would be no rates to show them and they would receive that error message. In this case you would need to set up shipping rates for orders under $100 as well.
  • Confirm that the product(s) being purchased are set up properly to inform what shipping rates should apply. To achieve this, you can head into the Products section of the Shopify admin to ensure that all product(s) have this is a physical product enabled as well as proper weights assigned.
  • Double check that your products and variants have inventory at the locations you are shipping from. To check this, you can head into the Products section of the Shopify admin. For more information this, you can check out our Assigning Inventory To Locations documentation.

If after attempting all of the following steps outlined above, you continue to receive this error, please feel free to connect with us directly. This will allow our advisor team to take a closer look and ensure it gets resolved as quickly as possible.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
