Why can't I update my card details in my account?

Hi, when I try to add a new card, it keeps give me an error 'there is one error, your card could not be verified as it was declined.'

 Could you please help me with this?

I just have a few questions I'd like to ask so I can be as informed as possible regarding the issue at hand:

 

  • Are you trying to add a new card as a payment method on file in order to pay for your Shopify Subscription?
  • Are you able to provide us with a screenshot of the specific error that you're receiving?

Hi, to answer your questions in order,

1) my card expired and I tried replacing it with another card to pay for my Shopify subscription

2) I have uploaded the image below

Hi there, @Sanjay1231. Thanks for following up with me here! I also appreciate you providing that screenshot.

 

Do you have enough space on the card you're trying to attach to pay for the subscription value? If so, it would be a good idea to reach out to the bank or card provider you use to see if there are any issues impacting your card's ability to make payments. Do you have another card that you are able to use for payment until the issues with this current card is resolved?

 

If this is the card that is replacing this since expired card, but is still attached to the same account, make sure you have the new card activated with your bank or card provider.
