Why can't my credit card be verified on an online platform?

Im having problem with my credit card it says we could not verify your credit card i dont know why

Could you confirm where you are seeing this message? Is it at the checkout while trying to purchase a product from a Shopify merchant, or in your admin while trying to pay for an invoice?

If you are trying to purchase a product and are seeing this error message, I would reach out to the store you are trying to purchase from to see if they can assist you further.
