Why does Stripe offer limited payment options on Shopify?

Hi! I was curios why Stripe is so limited in Shopify (Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Amex) while in other platforms, such as Wix, Bigcommerce, connecting Stripe gives more payment options: Union Pay, JCB, Diners Club, Discover, Google pay, Alipay and etc.

I would like to have customers from China, for example. But their native payment system (Union pay) are not accepted even if you have Shopify payments. 😞

Also would like to know as i have recently switched to Stripe. And only see credit card.
