Why Doesn't Shopify notify us about issues in our online stores?

I had a customer contact me tonight to let me know his address was not working in our online store, so we tried it ourselves with an address in Canada and the United States, both were legit addresses, and had an error saying the address was no good.

Why didn't Shopify notify us there was an issue/error with our shipping?

It obviously knows something is going on, because it's telling the customer there's an issue and it can't proceed.

Everything was working fine yesterday, and we know this because we received orders, and all of a sudden today it's not working?

If the customer had not contacted us tonight, we would have never know... it could have been days or weeks before we found out.

We had to delete all of our shipping profiles, and then redo them to get it all back on track and working again, always a fun thing to do at midnight...

Did you check if that is the issue with the settings of your shipping in your store admin?

You obviously didn't read my entire post...

I said we had to delete all of our shipping profiles and redo them to get it working again... Which is located in Admin.
