Why hasn't my refund arrived yet?

Hello! A fraudulent store that Shopify has allowed to use their platform never sent out my order. I was allegedly refunded after a month of waiting for an order and being ignored. The refund was done March 23rd….but I have NOT received my funds. This store offers no customer support. I had been emailing them for weeks and DM’ing on social media and have gotten no response and after spamming their social media with comments and messages for over 6 hours, so please don’t tell me to reach out to the shop because they will just continue to ignore me. Even after all that I never even got a human response, or a reply to any emails, DMs or even a call back, just randomly received an email from Shopify for a refund. I don’t trust a refund was actually done as my bank gives me my money back as soon as they receive it.


I even sent an email 3 days ago asking about the ARN and again no response. Shopify needs better customer support for situations like these. I just want to confirm that a refund was actually processed as the store has done shady business, I don’t necessarily trust the email confirmation that was sent.

As Shopify is a platform that hosts online businesses, we do not manage or ship the orders ourselves. Since each business operates independently - it would be best to attempt to reach out to the business you made the purchase from. Typically the online store will have a Contact Us page link towards the footer of the store. If you are unable to get in touch with the business, I would suggest bringing this to the attention of your bank or credit card company (depending on how you made the purchase). They will have additional processes aimed to retrieve your funds for the purchase.
