Why hasn't Shopify returned my failed payout?

I had a payout sent to the wrong account on 01/15/22. I was told the payout would fail and be sent back to Shopify to then be sent back to me . For the last two weeks I’ve worked with Numerous representatives who stated Shopify is waiting for my bank to reject the deposit before they send it again . Tonight , I found out that Shopify has been lying . My bank confirmed while on 3 way with Shopify that the payout failed and was returned on 01/20/22 . It has been seven days since Shopify has received the funds back but they are acting as if the error is on my banks end . WHERE IS MY MONEY ????? Be in mind I have been threatened with legal action by the Shopify capital department because I missed my repayment … how can I pay you all if you are lying about having my money ???
