Why is Apple Pay not working for repeat orders in France?

Hi I am in France - I had a Shopify online order for my products a couple of months ago and Apple Pay worked just fine (with Stripe) and now the SAME client is reordering and it is not going through - it just says 'retry' and she tried 10 times, I am going to lose this client if I don't figure out the problem, she is getting frustrated. Can you help?
