Im trying to buy the 29 £ plan with paypal but i wont stop pending, please help!

Thanks for reaching out to the Shopify Community with your billing situation. This is a great place to come by anytime you have questions about your Shopify store, or anything else Shopify related. 

 

It's been a few days since you made this initial post, so I'm just wondering if you're still having this issue? 

 

In terms of resolving the situation, I have a couple questions I wish for you to answer so where can determine where the hiccup lies: 

 

  • Where are you seeing the messaging that the transaction is still 'pending'? Is this within your personal PayPal on within your Shopify Store? 
  • Have you tried purchasing the plan from a different device or browser? Sometimes, cookies errors can cause issues such so switching to a different device for the purchase may allow you to complete it and clear that pending status. 
  • Do you have any screenshots of the error you're receiving where it says that the transaction is pending? Be sure to clear any personal information from any screenshots you're wishing to share.

my dad tried to pay with paypal twice, it got stuck in pending both times.
He does not like to give out creditcard nr online, he prefeers to pay with
paypal.

I appreciate you getting back to me. Have you had the chance to see the information I asked for? If you can provide the info that was requested we should be able to pinpoint what the cause is here. A screenshot of the error would be fantastic so that way we can see where the messaging is being shown and can determine if it's messaging from Shopify or from PayPal. 

 

I have a document here that outlines some of the rules and details around using PayPal to pay for your Shopify Subscription. PayPal isn't usable to pay for subscriptions if you're from either the United States or India. I wanted to make sure I provided this info, just in case you found yourself living in either of those regions. In those situations, a credit card will have to be used.

Get back to me when you can with the requested info so myself and other folks can help determine what the issue may be. Have you tried paying for the subscription from a different device or browser? This could solve the issue.
