Shopify is not good. I had my store for 7 seven years qith all the same products now they want Athorization for any product that has a name brand. Why after 7 years they want Athorization now. I feel like I getting targeted. I will delete the products they mentioned then they will come out with something else. Since I would have to start over anyway somewhere else I decided to delete all products and start over. Shopify don't care they would shut down your store for no reason or a dumb one. If you open a store with them make sure you dont ha e luxury brands or any brands in the store.

Hi there, @Iregalijoy.

I'm sorry to hear about this situation you're dealing with. When they can, our team will reach out to folks so they can ensure that businesses selling branded products are authorized to do so. This often involves requesting documents, such as re-selling licenses, or additional information. This requested information lets our team know that people are cleared to sell branded merchandise from other retailers or producers. We have a document here that goes over IP/Copyrighted Materials protocol in a bit more detail.

I'm unable to look into your specific account situation here, but oftentimes a request to remove products is simply that. These requests won't lead to a situation where one needs to remove all of their products, and rebuild their store from scratch. I strongly recommend that you reach back out to the folks who spoke to you about documentation, so they can assist you with next steps to avoid having to start over from scratch. Seven years of SEO building and marketing is not something you'll want to give up, so I hope you do take some time to reach back out to the team and speak with them, so you see the value in maintaining what you've built.

I talked to risk ask them for the list they would give me a couple of items. I would delete these items and he or she would find other items. We went back and forth a couple of times then they disabled my account. I told them to give me a complete list they won't. I had thousands of items it was like a needle in a haystack to find everything that has a brand name. I never had to have authorization before. I already deleted 7 seven of the SEO and work. I felt like I was being targeted for some reason. This is not how you suppose to treat a long-time customer. I also do reviews for websites and will do one for Shopify. The site is still disabled. I have to start over because someone wanted to give me a hard time after having the same products for 7 years. I think is was very unprofessional and seems personal. Whatever info you need let me know to look it up.

Hey again, @Iregalijoy. Thanks for following up with us so quickly.

I appreciate you sharing some additional insight into your situation here. As we can't authenticate users in the Community, I'm unable to see any account specific information regarding this situation, but I can advise on some next steps based on what you've described.

Depending on the nature of what you're describing as your account being disabled, the folks on the other end of the email chain you have ongoing may be able to assist you with having things re-instated once the products they've brought forward to you are actioned. As I can't see any of this information myself, my best suggestion for you here to is to follow up with the team via that email chain directly, expressing that you want this situation resolved and are willing to take the steps to do so. I'd request additional information from the team (if needed), as well as provide them with as much context as possible, so they can have all the information they need to provide you with some next steps from their end.

I appreciate your concern. I had this happen before and I removed the items and they took the hold off. This time I was removing items they mentioned and they would find other items and that repeated 3 times. I pleaded to have the complete list they said it's not their job. I had thousands of items it was too difficult to find every single item in my store. So, they disabled my account and I was left with nothing. Since I would have to start over somewhere else anyway I decided to delete all items. I feel I ran into someone that had no patience or empathy or didn't like my store for some reason. I feel I was treated wrong and with almost disdain.

GET RID OF SHOPIFY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!! They are currently doing the exact thing to me right now. I have been a customer for since 2020. I buy only officially licensed products from the manufacturer. And I have invoices for every single item I sell that are from a licensed manufacturer. They just shut down my payments and NOBODY has contacted me. I had to open a support ticket to even find out why they disabled my account. @ days now and still OBODY from shopify has even told me what they are looking for.
