Why is my checkout page showing an error and preventing customer purchases?

i can't configure the checkout page shows an error and also my customers can't checkout the page

It could be due to many of one reason, like the payment gateways are not properly setup on the store.

Thank you for reaching out here for help and welcome to the Shopify Community.


I understand that your customers are seeing an error in the checkout of your store, and as a result are unable to place an order.


Can you confirm if this is an issue that just recently started happening, whereas previously it was working OK? Or is this your first time setting up your store and you cannot establish a working checkout at all?


I'd love to help you troubleshoot this issue, however I will need some more information in order to help. Can you explain what sort of error is showing in your checkout? Better yet, if you can provide a screenshot of the error happening it would be super helpful.


In the meantime, there's a couple of things you can check that could contribute to errors in your checkout:


  • Check your payment gateway settings and make sure that you have a valid payment gateway that is set up correctly. If you are using a third-party gateway, ensure that you have entered the various information correctly such as API keys etc. You can check your payment gateway settings by going to Settings > Payments in your Shopify admin.
  • Make sure that your shipping settings are set up correctly and that you have entered the correct shipping rates and information. You can check your shipping settings by going to Settings > Shipping and delivery in your Shopify admin.
  • If you have recently installed a new theme or app, it may be causing issues with your checkout page. Try disabling any recently installed themes or apps to see if this resolves the issue.
