Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Few weeks ago, you could use shopify trial for a month if I'm not wrong or maybe a bit more, now I see that they updated it this year, I never linked my credit card for shopify because I was still learning about how shopify works, now I see that I have to pay 1$ for 3 months and then get billed for 31$, my card has enough funds to pay it but it's not working yet it's showing "Your card was rejected while verifying". I think Shopify recognize my country (Kosovo) as they have it in their list. I wanna know if there's a problem with my country or with my credit card?
Hi @dealon
Thanks for reaching out here, and welcome to the Shopify Community!
I understand that you are experiencing some difficulties with your Shopify billing, I would be happy to advise!
You are correct in saying that the free trial has been updated. Previously it was a default of 14 days, however it is now 3 days. As you mentioned, as part of this change you can now enjoy 3 months of Shopify for $1/month on select plans after the 3 day trial has finished.
It sounds like you are trying to process the payment for your subscription, but are seeing an error about card verification. Can you confirm that you are trying to use a valid credit card from Mastercard, Visa, or American Express? The card must also have international capabilities and have the ability to accept recurring transactions. If you are unsure about this, then contacting your bank for confirmation would be a good idea.
If you believe the card should be working, but you are still seeing an error then I would recommend reaching out to our own support team using this link here. If you contact us via that help center link, we can authenticate you and take a closer look at your account. For your information, we cannot access any of your account info here on our Community Forums.
You mentioned that you were still learning how Shopify works. How is the store setup going so far? We're always here to help if you need us, so let me know if there's anything in particular you are finding challenging.
